Mr. Israel Jebasingh (IAS – 2004 batch, All India Rank – 59)

Israel has the distinction of having cleared all three stages of the UPSC exam twice, and as an IAS Officer was highly regarded for his out of the box thinking while serving in some of the toughest regions of India. He has a passion for teaching and has vast experience in the government and private sectors. Topper in the Optional subject – Public Administration.

Mr. Rangarajan R (IAS – 2005 batch, All India Rank – 46)

A Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant, he decided to become a Civil Servant and secured AIR 46 in his very first attempt. He like Israel has a passion for teaching.

Mr. Satapathy R (IAS, Retired as Chief Secretary, Tamil Nadu)

Rose to the rank of Chief Secretary, Tamil Nadu and retired in 2008. Also served as Administrative Member, Central Administrative Tribunal, Chennai.

Mr. Ashok Vardhan Shetty (lAS – 1983 batch)

An lAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, known for his honesty, Integrity, Boldness and other Ethical values, teaches the Ethics Paper(Paper 4, General Studies) for students of Officers lAS Academy. Shetty Sir is also a regular columnist for The Hindu Newspaper and a guest faculty at Lal Bahadur Shastry National Academy of Administration, Mussorie (LBSNAA).Hisexam oriented teaching combined with interesting anecdotes from his Government Service, make his classes lively and interesting.

Mr. SUBRAMHANYAN S (IRAS, Retired 1979 batch)

Currently UPSC panel member

Got selected twice to the prestigious IPS (Indian Police Service) but chose to continue in the IRAS due to his love for Railways and he retired as Additional Member of Railway Board, Government of India. It was during his stint as a Civil Servant, gave certain recommendations to the Alagh Committee on Civil Services reforms which led to far-reaching changes in the pattern of the exam – reduction of the Optional subjects and introduction of ethics paper. Plays a crucial role in preparing students to face the Interview board.
Teaches: Civil Service conduct rules, Case study in Ethics, General Studies (Infrastructure, Ports, Railways and Science)

Mr. Nandakumar (IRS, Addl. Commissioner, I.T)

A role model for UPSC aspirants, he overcame a difficult and challenging childhood to become a highly respected IRS Officer. He is now a faculty and mentor.

Mr. Saravana Kumaran (IRS – 2004 Batch)

Became an IRTS Officer in 2000 with the highest mark in Sociology. He took the UPSC exam once more in 2004 and joined the prestigious IRS (Indian Revenue Service) and most recently was the Joint Commissioner Income Tax. He is also a mentor to students.
Teaches: General Studies.

Mr. Vipin Saini (IRPS – 2014 Batch)

Guest Lecturer

He is an IRPS officer of 2014 Batch, teaches History Optional at Officers IAS Academy. Vipin has faced 3 UPSC Interviews He is a B Tech graduate from NIT Kurukshetra. He was also teaching in few IAS Academies in Delhi before joining IRPS.

Mr. Joseph Raaj

A popular saying in LBSNAA, Mussoorie is “Every batch in the past 10 years has had at least set of Civil Servants who were students of Joseph. Went till the interview stage thrice. 

Teaches: Sociology (Optional), General Studies (Ethics, Integrity, Aptitude).
He also heads mentoring program.

Mr. Ilanchezian

An entrepreneur who made the transition to service, where he was most recently the Asst. Commandant in the CRPF. He is both a teacher and a mentor to IAS aspirants relying on his experience of having cleared 17 competitive exams and attended 3 interviews.
Teaches: Geography (Optional and General Studies), Internal Security and Disaster Management.

Mr. Uday Kumar

He cleared the Indian Engineering Services (IES) in 2000 but opted not to join, instead worked at a number of leading companies like Siemens, NTPC and most recently KPMG.
Teaches: International Relations, Environment, Science and Technology

Mr. Guna Mathivanan

Mr. Gunasekar Mathivanan, a pianist turned teacher, heads the Research and Development team at Officers IAS Academy. He is much beloved as the current affairs faculty. As a student puts it- ‘He relates the subjects with current affairs and we can learn how to approach the subject and relate current affairs from him’

Ms. Sneha Jain

A prolific writer on Current Affairs for various competitive magazines, she is also known for her ability to predict the questions based on current affairs – for both prelims and mains – based on her analysis of previous years question papers. The difference she brings is instead of advising the students to read ‘The Hindu’, she teaches ‘The Hindu’ to the students.

Ms. Priya

A Gold medallist in her graduation, she did her MSC in Biotechnology, MA in English Literature and M.Ed. Presently pursuing her PhD.

Mr. Iden

Public Prosecutor for the Government of Tamil Nadu. Qualified the written examination of District Judge (2013), Civil Judge (2014) and CBI Public Prosecutor (2014). He was also selected as an Assistant Commandant by UPSC. His ability to combine both his in-depth knowledge and the practical application makes his classes lively and entertaining.

Mr. Dharmaraj M

Appeared for the Mains examination on 8 occasions and consistently scored the top marks in Tamil. Also attended the final interview on 2 occasions. Has taught Tamil Optional for the past 10 years.

Mr. Raja M

Comes from an agricultural family in Tirunellveli. He has a passion for teaching and started teaching from the second year of college. He has just cleared IFoS (Indian Forest Service) Mains. His hobbies include poetry writing.

Ms. Dhanalakshmi

Ms Dhanalakshmi who successfully appeared for Civil Service Interview twice, has a teaching experience of more than a decade. Her passion for teaching combined with her extensive knowledge in Civil Service Examination makes her classes lively and exam oriented.Ms Dhanalakshmi teaches Current Affairs and Geology optional for Civil service exam and Indian Forest Service exam at Officers IAS Academy.

Mr. Vibhu Anurag

Alumnus of Symbiosis International University, Pune. Distinguished trainer in English, Mathematics, Science, Foreign Trade and Corporate Skills. His articles have been recognised with the ‘Best article’ award from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
